LINK’s anime adaptation of Kotaro Shōno’s World’s End Harem was set to begin as part of Crunchyroll’s 2021 anime season; however, the series has been postponed until early next year after showing just one episode in Japan.
World’s End Harem Anime Series
According to an announcement posted on the official Twitter account of the anime, the first episode of World’s End Harem which started on October 8 in Japan is now called the “special pre-broadcast,” as well as the broadcast version of the episode and all subsequent episodes. will not be released until further notice in January 2022. The announcement also states that the delay is due to the fact that the product must be “inspected.”
At the moment, it seems that Studio Gokumi (Ms. Vampire Live in My Field, Pandora in the Red Shell: Ghost Urn) and AXsiZ (Ulysses: Jeanne d’Arc and Alchemist Knight, Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles) are expected to continue their collaboration in producing animated series.
The art team is expected to continue working on World’s End Harem: Yu Nobuta (Ouran High School Host Club, Good Library as a Good Shepherd) is still leading, Tatsuya Takahashi (The Faraway Paladin, I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level) will continue to oversee the production of the series and Masaru Koseki (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Seven Sins of Death) is still listed as the creator of the series.
The first World’s End Harem series appeared in Shueisha’s online magazine Shōnen Jump + in May 2016 and continued until June 2020. The story follows the main character Reito Mizuhara (Tachi Ichikawa), who is immersed in cryostasis while awaiting life-saving treatment for his unusual condition.
However, when he wakes up five years later, Reito finds that the world is overwhelmed by a more deadly virus and that he is one of the few percent of the body’s men left in the world.
While anime fans may not be able to watch World’s End Harem on Crunchyroll for a few more months, there are many more series on the current streaming service program they can enjoy right now. These include The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window, Platinum End, Build Divide – # 00000 (Code Black) – and the second season seasons of Restaurant to Another World with Yashahime: Princess Half- Demon.
If the World’s End Harem sticks to its new release window and begins to be shown as part of the 2022 winter season, it will begin to be shown alongside JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean, Requiem of the Rose King, Saiyuki Reload ZERO IN, The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising the Nation On credit, Slow Loop and the second part of The Case Study of Vanitas.
