Some scenes are recorded in the Bay City area, an isolated community in Pope County, 8 miles south of Golconda. As shown in the movie, Roy Willy’s BBQ has no real life. The incidents took place at the Bay City General store on 1067 Bay City Road between Golconda and Bay City.
The historic store has been in existence since 1915. The U.S. Marshals film also took place in the uninhabited West Vienna community in Johnson County of Southern Illinois. The group also visited the beautiful community of Shawneetown, Gallatin County, to capture some of the scenes.
New York
Since most of the U.S. Marshals film is set in New York City, the staff had to visit the east coast city to get the film sequence.
