‘The Longest Night’ (originally titled ‘La Noche Más Larga’) is a thrilling drama series at Monte Baruca Psychiatric Prison on the night before Christmas. A serial killer named Simón Lago was kept in custody among the other prisoners, without the consent of outsiders. Later that night, a group of heavily armed men surrounded the prison for the mentally ill and demanded that Simón be released and given to him.

Where was the Longest Night Series recorded?
‘The Longest Night’ was recorded in Spain, especially in Madrid and Aranjuez. The main photography of the first season of the crime series began in June 2021 and appeared to end in August of that year.
At the time of production, the title of the Netflix series was ‘Baruca,’ named after the psychiatric ward where most of the action took place. Located in southwestern Europe, Spain is an ideal choice for the production area as the narrative is set in the European nation.
