‘Rambo: Last Blood’ is an action film directed by Adrian Grünberg. The ‘Rambo series,’ follows the peaceful life of John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) as he raises horses on the farm. Soon, his peace was shattered when his friend’s granddaughter, Gabriela Beltran (Yvette Monreal), was abducted by a Mexican motorcycle. He decides to go to rescue work and is freed from the shackles of the cart.

Rambo: Last Blood Movie Filming Locations
‘Rambo: The Last Blood’ was recorded mainly in the Canary Islands and Bulgaria, especially in the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Sofia, and Varna. Although much of the narrative is in Mexico, filmmakers are doing a fine job of using some of the most beautiful landscapes to represent the North American country.
Sylvester Stallone’s main film shooting is reported to have started in early October 2018 and wrapped up in early December 2018. However, another filming took place in May 2019. Now, let’s take a look at all the scenes in the Rambo: Last Blood action film!
Canary Islands
A group of organizers sets up camp at several locations throughout the Canary Islands, a Spanish colony. They set off for the largest island of the Canaries – Tenerife. Another important sequence set in Mexico was recorded on a different island, especially in its capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The scene where Rambo was surrounded by a gang of bad guys and beaten up and shot at Carretera Cueva Roja.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in September 2019, film director Adrian Grünberg was asked why he chose to shoot a Mexican movie in Spain. He said, “It was a budget decision. Both Sly and I wanted to go to Mexico Mexico. We have made a budget in Mexico, and unfortunately, I have to say that the economy is the one that dominates our industry. It was cheaper to do it in Spain. ”
Grünberg was also asked if he thought the Spanish film had its silver liner or not, to which he replied, “Of course. I agree because I know that [Albuquerque] was on the cards at one time or another. At least if any, it has given us a unique place. I must say that I was amazed; I was not sure if we would ever find something close to my mind, but I must say it is not that bad. ” In addition, he shared that they were able to spray a certain Mexican culture in the film and referred to Santa Muerte. “Rambo: Last Blood.”
Bulgaria
For recording purposes, the production team traveled to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Actors and staff mostly use Nu Boyana Film Studios located at 84 Kumata Street, Cinema Center Boyana. The production studio has 10 sound stages and a few sets of stops, including the Middle East, New York, and London streets. The recording studio has been used to shoot many films and TV shows, such as ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard,’ ‘Leatherface,’ ‘Absentia,’ and ‘Into the Night.’
An important part of Sylvester Stallone’s star was also lensed at Pancharevo. The resort and district are located on the edge of Sofia. Along with Nu Boyana Film Studios, another place to represent Mexico in this movie.
According to reports, the cast and crew of ‘Rambo: The Last Blood’ even traveled east of Sofia to the port city of Varna. Several important sequences appear to have been recorded behind Pobiti Kamani AKA’s famous The Stone Desert.
