‘Operation Mincemeat’ is a British drama film directed by John Madden. Established in 1943 during World War II, the story revolves around the Allies taking responsibility for invading Sicily to ease Hitler’s grip on Europe. In the midst of all of this, however, they must protect the invading army from turning into a massacre.
Aside from discovering captions of theater that may be one of the greatest deceptions in history, viewers have enjoyed the stunning performances of the characters. Everywhere actors and actresses shoot ‘Operation Mincemeat,’ London is where they spend most of their time. Several Indoor and outdoor shots have been fitted to the Westminster area of Central London. Located at The Barons in St. Margarets, this studio was founded in 1913 by Ralph Jupp and has three stages of noise protection. In addition, the beautiful effects and visuals of the movie were made thanks to Union Visual Effects at 18 Rathbone PIace.
For recording purposes, actors and staff even visited the Historic Dockyard Chatham, a maritime museum on Main Gate Road in Chatham, Kent. The production team used the retired Royal Navy C-class destroyer – HMS Cavalier – to shoot the film scenes of the film. In addition, the sequence when the Allied forces invaded Europe by arriving in Sicily was lensed off the coast of Saunton Sands in Devon. A team of filmmakers for the war period traveled all the way to the Spanish municipality of Málaga. Apart from recording a few sequences in the municipality and surrounding areas, actors and staff mostly set up tents at Ayuntamiento de Málaga (Málaga Town Hall).
