But he was wrong as the closure of the island was announced and they had to stop production. When they returned to resume the shooting six months later, the two actors were spotted by Covid on a plane and had to be taken to hospital, with a police officer guarding the door.
Juan added that one of the actors was diagnosed HIV negative two weeks later but another, Justina Bustos, went on to find out she had HIV for a few weeks. After they shot everything they could do without him, the crew decided to take it to Spain while Juan would stay on the island until it was discovered that he did not have it.
