Aside from the modern architecture and city appearance, Santiago is also surrounded by many mountains. Many filmmakers were attracted to the city because of its diversity and preferred to use its features for filming purposes. Over the years, the capital has participated in all kinds of filmed projects, such as ‘The Amazing Woman,’ ‘The Wolf House,’ ‘The Amazing Race,’ and the ‘Jailbreak Agreement.’
For filmed purposes, the cast and crew of ’42 Days of Darkness’ even traveled to the town and houses of Villarrica in southern Chile. They seem to have been living in the southern part of the country for a long time as the production team also used the Puerto Montt area – a port city and the southern region of Chile – to record a few sequences for the first season of the series.
