Her family has always been an important part of her life and her daughter, Gina Schumacher, shared her memories with Michael. So, know about Gina Schumacher.
Who is Gina Schumacher?
Gina-Maria Schumacher was born in February 1997 to Michael and Corinna. She was their first child, and about two years later, they had Mick. When she was a child, Michael’s family came in modest ways, which played a role in how Michael and Corinna reared their children. According to Michael’s supervisor, Sabine Kehm, the parents have tried not to harm the two children, and Michael hoped to raise them normally.
As a teenager, Gina recalled Michael’s reputation as a sprinter. She said in a written statement that when he went to the races with him, there was always a mystery and a sense of excitement about Michael. Many people called her grandpa and expressed her admiration for her, something that pleased Gina. But his life – and that of all other families – changed when Michael was involved in a skiing accident in Maribel, France, in late 2013. Although he was wearing a helmet, Michael’s injuries were serious, and he had to do so immediately by helicopter at the hospital.
After being placed in a coma due to medical treatment, Michael was treated and gradually withdrew a few months later. Although Michael has since returned home and was rehabilitated, the family has kept the details of his recovery confidential. Looking back, Gina in the documentary said that some of her favorite moments with her father would happen when he returned home because even though he was tired, she would put up with them for hours, and they were just happy to be home to spend time with him.
