Welcome To Wedding Hell Season 1: Synopsis
Welcome To Wedding Hell Season 1, Jun Hyeong’s mother enters when Jun Hyeong and Na Eun fight, and Na Eun talks about the incident at a furniture store. Jun Hyeong’s mother asks Na Eun if she has done anything wrong, which makes Na Eun’s mother think she is giving Na Eun a hard time, and arguing with Jun Hyeong’s mother. Jun Hyeong is frustrated and hurts both her mother and Na Eun by screaming in frustration.
The two have not negotiated since the incident, and it worries Hui Seon because their marriage lasts for two days. She and Min Woo arranged a meeting to get Jun Hyeong and Na Eun to discuss and resolve their differences. The situation was not good during the whole meeting, and Jun Hyeong and Na Eun did not speak at all. When she left home, Jun Hyeong asked Na Eun what time he should pick her up for the wedding, but Na Eun replied that she would go on her own.
Na Eun and Jun Hyeong frantically stood in front of the photographer, and it was visible on their faces. The photographer asks them to smile a lot, but their faces look the same. Jun Hyeong asks Na Eun to talk about it but says she will talk after the shooting. However, Jun Hyeong makes the conversation happen, but it turns into an argument again. However, when the photographer asked them to kiss each other, Na Eun said she could not do it. She tells Jun Hyeong she wants to split up and escapes the photoshoot.
Jun Hyeong is upset, and his mother sees it after I visit her after their argument. She guessed that something had happened between her and Na Eun and was scared, wondering if they would end their marriage. She visits Na Eun’s parents and tells them about Jun Hyeong’s condition. Na Eun’s parents have also noticed a change in Na Eun’s behavior and understand why. Jun Hyeong’s mother apologizes for her rigidity, and Na Eun’s mother does the same.
Na Yeon takes sick leave in the office without telling her friends, and they realize that something has happened between the couple. Hui Seon calls Min Woo and tells her that Jun Hyeong has also been doing strange things. Hui Seon and Su Yeon went out with Na Eun and let her talk about everything on her mind. After listening to everything, Hui Seon tells Na Eun that she does not hate Jun Hyeong but the situation they are in, and she should clear the air before it is too late.
Jun Hyeong finally opened up to his mother and told her about the wedding dress. First, she makes it clear to him that she has no problem with Na Eun and that she loves her. Then, she reminds him of the first time he told her about Na Eun. After introducing Na Eun to his mother, just three months into dating, Jun Hyeong had said she was the woman he wanted to marry. Jun Hyeong’s mother proposes to be a great man and to touch Na Eun first.
Na Eun arrives home drunk and thinks it’s just a vision when she sees Jun Hyeong inside. Jun Hyeong and Na Eun go outside to talk about their situation, but Na Eun is drunk and not ready to listen. Jun Hyeong continues to convince her, and it gets so high that all passing neighbors hear about it. Welcome To Wedding Hell Season 1 Ending, Explained: What Happened At The End of the Season?
Na Eun and Jun Hyeong have reconciled and shared the news with their parents together by giving them their first wedding cards. Parents have decided not to interfere in their children’s lives and let them have their own way. While searching for homes, they saw why there are more tenants in Seoul than homeowners. They also did a wedding photo shoot, which cost twice as much as before. These experiences teach them why money is important and why they should think carefully before spending it.
Jun Hyeong and Na Eun are reunited, but their friends are still in the courtship. Min Woo has admitted his feelings to Hui Seon but has yet to respond. Her friends know that she does not always have enough contact with people she does not like but that it is difficult to accept because of her age and divorce. She tells Na Eun that Min Woo continues to rent luxury cars to impress her, but Na Eun reveals that he owns them and that he is the son of a great industrialist.
Na Eun calls Jun Hyeong and Min Woo to join them for lunch, and Su Yeon keeps hitting Min Woo to make Hui Seon jealous. Their cunning works and Hui Seon admits her feelings to Min Woo. Su Yeon is now the only single person in their group of friends, but Jun Hyeong promises to introduce her to anyone she knows who she loves during their wedding ceremony.
It is finally the day of the wedding, and Jun Hyeong keeps his father-in-law’s fame by adding flower shells to his family’s side. Both the bride and the groom are terrified, but they make their wedding day a success and swear that they will stay together for the rest of their lives. Jun Hyeong and Na Eun did not know each other well and thought marriage was easy. Thanks to their understanding parents and supportive friends, they got married and did not divorce during the process.
“Welcome To Wedding Hell” was an insult to young Korean people’s minds about marriage. There is position, money, and prestige in marriage. Teenagers know better how to handle a big event like their wedding but do not want their parents to get involved in their private activities. This series explains why many Korean couples split up between their wedding plans and the reason why they do not want to get married, the main reason being money and the problems that arise from it.
