Where is Austin Geidt Now? Showtime’s ‘Super Pumped’ follows the impressive journey of the horse-sharing company Uber and its strong CEO Travis Kalanick, who seems ready to do everything possible to take his company to the next level. The ambitious team that worked for this small company during its turbulent first days made interesting actors.
In addition to Kalanick and his loyal mentor Emil Michael, we are drawing the attention of another hard worker, Austin Geidt (Kerry Bishé’s article), who is the CEO who proudly describes him as “our low boots.” Considering a program that features versions of the drama of many real people, we decided to take a look at the real Austin Geidt.

Who is Austin Geidt?
Austin Geidt joined Uber in 2010 and became the fourth employee of the company now known! After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, she applied to Uber by sending a cold email to its then CEO Ryan Graves, who apparently asked him to make a presentation. The process seems to have worked for Austin as she later joined the advertising business (and, fortunately, as the company’s first official student).
Austin thrived in the company’s fast-paced workplace and quickly took on a variety of roles, including managing pilot operations and acting as New York’s interim General Manager at a time when the company was facing management challenges. In fact, Uber’s positive growth rate has been due to her participation as she oversees its operations in Paris, Seattle, Boston, Los Angeles, and Melbourne. Austin then set up a “launch” team to measure the expansion of the ride-sharing app to more than 300 additional markets.
In a 2015 interview with Fortune, a passionate Uber official spoke about her struggle to become a drug addict while in college. After spending time in rehab, she got drunk about her twentieth birthday and went back to college, eventually graduating in Berkeley at the age of twenty-five. Shortly afterward, She joined Uber, embarking on a meteoric rise. In 2016, she then led the company’s Advanced Technologies Group, which, among other things, worked on testing Uber’s self-driving cars.
For another three years, in 2019, Austin hit the opening of the New York Stock Exchange on the day Uber made its historic IPO while standing next to the company’s CEO. In total, Austin worked for the company under three CEOs – Ryan Graves, Travis Kalanick, and Dara Khosrowshahi.
Where is Austin Geidt Now?
In August 2020, Austin Geidt announced on social media that after ten years at Uber, she finally said goodbye to the company. Her post also included positive comments about her company experience, which she saw growing from the beginning to become one of the most important technology companies in the world.
It is not yet clear whether Austin is currently working for another company or not. However, it seems she still lives in San Francisco and, as she describes himself as a “working worm,” she seems to enjoy spending her time studying. In 2021, she announced another milestone in his recovery from addiction, posting a picture of himself with a chip marking sixteen years of rationality.
