Truth Be Told Season 2 Episode 3 is titled ‘If Wishes Were Horses’ and sounds like a compound pearl of wisdom that Poppy’s father, Shreve, may have lost. If you think you are losing your memory immediately, a future episode could feature a former gang leader remembering his history or using his superhuman strength to help Poppy with his investigation.
Surely we will also see the suspicious character of Ramone being subjected to further investigation, as he unknowingly appears in Joshua’s studio and, in the past, has spoken out about his dislike of the murder victim. Truth Be Told Season 2 Episode 2 ‘Ghosts at the Feast’ begins with an explanation of a mysterious group known as the Sons of Ivar and that Joshua, when he made a landmark film for them, this violent group turned against him. It appears, therefore, that Ivar’s sons could have played a role in his execution.
The main point of this episode, however, is that Joshua had a son named Drew, who had been hiding it from Micah and Poppy for many years. Drew is, in fact, the second body found in Joshua, and tests performed on both types of blood show that they are related. In an online event shortly thereafter, Micah’s anger about her husband keeping his son hidden with his boils, and has a noise that led to his company having to cancel the event.
Toward the end of the episode, two very unusual events occurred. First, as Poppy’s sister was parking her bus at night, a white-haired man sitting in a quiet seat approached her threateningly. Although he eventually walks away without hurting her, his intentions are obviously terrifying and leave the woman looking terrified. In the closing scenes of the episode, a mysterious man comes to Poppy’s house at night and hands him his official papers, leaving the investigating podcaster speechless and confused outside his house.
