However, they are also aware that their association with Reginald Hargreeves led him to select other children for his school, now called Sparrow Academy.
After an altercation with colleagues, Umbrella Academy launches Hotel Obsidian. They find out that their mothers were killed in this timeline before they were born, so their doppelgängers are not here. The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Ending: Is Sloane Dead?
After many good and bad times as well as mysteries and revelations, the final episode of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ focuses on the team’s effort to reset the timeline and the universe. Although they did their best, the Umbrella Academy failed to contain a black hole. Things get worse as it consumes the whole world, eventually leading the group to consider the only one presented by Reginald. However, considering the old man’s past history, they are not yet ready to trust him, and with good reason.
Reginald tells them that he discovered a secret site that opened up another way. He built a Hotel Obsidian next to it, working privately to find what was on the other side. When Diego and Lila went to the other side, looking for Stan, they found a different version of Hotel Obsidian. Finally, Reginald revealed that the other hotel was actually a machine set up in another dimension. He believes that anyone who created the universe must have created the machine, and that is the only thing that can help them save the earth now.
This machine has to reset the universe and the timeline, but it needs the right fuel to energize itself. That fuel came from babies born mysteriously on the first day of October 1989. At the end of the first season, it was revealed that Reginald is an alien and releases mysterious gold particles that eventually find their way to Earth and lead to Earth. the birth of forty-three children with great power.
It was those golden objects that gave the children their power, and later, Reginald harvested them from them to refuel and reset the timeline. He had been planning to do it for a long time. In fact, this was the only reason he took the children and trained them to hone their skills. He wanted them to be strong enough to fight the Samurai who were guarding the site and later dedicated to making the machine work. He called it Project Oblivion, and that is why Umbrella, along with Sparrow Academy, existed in the first place.
Reginald had hidden his plan from everyone because he knew that harvesting their power could lead to their death. He knew that no one could volunteer to work with him, so he compiled a comprehensive framework for each of them, using each one of them. His children knew him as a cruel and indifferent man, and despite his best efforts to prove that he was no ordinary man, they could not trust him. Finally, he shows that they are right.
When it comes time to start the machine, it uses the power of seven people – Klaus, Five, Viktor, Ben, Lila, Diego, and Sloane. He forbids Alison to join them because she only needs seven, and has made an agreement with her, which was similar to what he wanted for himself.
At first, it seems that all seven of them will die. But when we see a new timeline, all the members of the Sparrow Academy come out on the other side, even Luther. But there is no evidence of Sloane. Does this mean that she did not survive the ordeal?
The last time we saw Sloane, she was still alive. After Alison kills Reginald and before she presses a timeline, we see Sloane alive, though in a bad mood. However, when the others come out on the other side, she is not in them. Although it leaves some doubt about her destiny, it does not mean that she is gone.
It may have found another way out, or a new timeline stays somewhere far away. Her life is confirmed by Klaus, who claims to have followed him. So, if she fails to get into the elevator, it could mean that she is still stuck in the pocket. If not, another version of it is already in the new location.
