The Man Who Fell to Earth Season 1 Episode 7 Title “Cracked Actor.” opens with a negative campaign on Cambodia by CIA agent Spencer Clay. Trained soldiers marching in search of Newton in a newly found concrete suburb met with a violent fate when a loud tone caused their heads to explode.
As a result of the dangerous work, Spencer is facing an internal investigation in which he quickly threw his boss and longtime mentor, Drew Finch, under the bus. Then we got a glimpse of Spencer’s childhood and later discovered that he was the orphan son of a Russian terrorist adopted by Drew.
Meanwhile, Edie and Hatch are trying to finalize a lucrative deal with a “bad” and unethical oil company in order to break free from CIA corruption. A representative from Thorne Oil greets their claims for an unlimited power source with some doubts but in the end, he seems convinced. Behind the Origen lab, Faraday receives a visit from Newton who angrily informs him that he needs to learn the art of deception in order to be successful in the human realm.
Edie also begins to suspect CIA involvement in their investigation and continues to worry about Josiah’s rapidly changing attitude. Since his encounter with Faraday, Josiah has grown up healthy and says his memories are sharper. However, he begins to lose touch with his emotions and tries to write them down before completely forgetting his emotions. Faraday informs Josiah that it is all part of the Antheon DNA that continues within him.
