According to ‘Supergirl star’ Melissa Benoist, Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor have moved on from their previous stories and are closer than ever.
“I think Kara and Lena’s relationship is much stronger than it was last season,” Benoist said in an interview with EW. “Everything they went through in season 5, I wouldn’t say it was water under the bridge, but I think it was true of their friendship with their sister, and their unity.”
Benoist added that he thinks it is “a very good role model in a show of how women can interact with each other this season,” and how women can have disagreements but “and find a common ground that solves problems in intelligent ways,” especially when one has a character with Author’s surname, the word Benoist says it “carries that weight,” and another has the title of Girl of Steel.
“Those two women together – the strength and the fight and the hope of supergirl, as well as the ingenuity and ingenuity of Lena Luthor – are doing great things together this year,” she concludes.
