In I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 Episode 8, Yuusuke realizes that a strange man who attacked his peers is actually controlled by a parasite called wireworms. They attack the brain of their victim, and the only way to get rid of them is to burn the person in charge; otherwise, it could lead to epidemics. It turns out that the man is Jesby’s father but realizing that there is no other solution, the heroes kill him and burn his body.
Later they went to Zagroth on a secret route. While on the way, Jezby says local people are constantly being attacked by predators. As crop production has declined, village chiefs are forcing the elderly to leave the safety of their homes and seek a better place for the villagers to relocate. Jezby’s father and a young man named Dan were among those who would move to a new country home. However, fearing that he would lose his father, Jezby followed him, leaving his mother and brother alone.
When they reached the village, Glenda and Juusuke met with the chief to try to make him realize that the suicidal machines he was promoting were destroying many families.
