Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 8 Recap
In Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 8, After entering the danger zone, Javi and Sykes went to train cars to make sure that the poison gas did not get into the Snowpiercer. They found a burglary in an agricultural vehicle, spreading to nearby vehicles. Sykes tries to fix it, and he faints when he inhales the gas. Layton and Asha repair and arrive at the scene to repair the breach, following Ben’s instructions.
They found holes in the gas entering the train. Layton, however, fails to descend through a small window to close the opening. When he decides to leave the suit, risking his life to save the train passengers, Asha hits him.
Asha realizes that Snowpiercer will not be able to lose its leader as it progresses to New Eden and finds Melanie. Asha beats Layton to keep him out of the suit, out of him. He sacrifices his life for the betterment of Snowpiercer members, especially Layton, as he realizes the importance of his presence on the train and possibly once they reach New Eden.
Without any precautionary measures, Asha closes the opening and limits the poison gas into the train, rescuing human remains from another disaster. He pays a price for his life and dies after inhaling the gas. Asha’s self-sacrificing act saves Snowpiercer from being a huge moving box. Snowpiercer passes through dangerous areas without any further casualties due to toxic gases.
In order to do justice to Asha’s sacrifice, Layton announces that he will lead train passengers to New Eden without hesitation. More than ever, Layton realizes that he must do everything he can to make the lives of his people better, especially if Asha’s sacrifice does not go unnoticed. Layton’s life, which Asha saves by donating her own, becomes too precious for him to guide his fellow human beings.
