Sarah Harding’s mother, Marie, shared the sad news of her death on Instagram.
“It is with great sadness that today I am sharing the news that my beautiful sister Sara has passed away tragically,” Marie wrote to more than 360,000 Harding fans on Instagram. “Many of you will know about Sarah’s battle with cancer and how she fought so hard from her diagnosis to her last day. She left peacefully this morning. ”
She went on to “thank everyone” for their support since the British singer was diagnosed with late breast cancer in August 2020.
It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know that she is loved, ”continues Marie. “I know he won’t want to be remembered for his fight against this terrible disease – he was a shining star and I hope he can instead be remembered.”
Harding released a memo titled “Listen to Me” four months before passing. In the book, the artist revealed that there is one sign of breast cancer that he has completely removed – pain.
“At first I thought it was just a rash. I have been playing my guitar a lot, and I thought the belt might irritate the area around my breast, ”he wrote, adding that the pain had become worse over time.
“It got to the point that I couldn’t sleep in a bed. I was lying on the sofa, taking painkillers as if they were Smarties, ”Harding said. “It was extremely difficult, but the pain was excruciating. Eventually, my skin began to ache, and I was now nervous. ”
The British band Girls Aloud was formed in the original program “Popstars: The Rivals” in 2002 which included Harding, Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Cole, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh. They split in 2013 just hours after doing their final job at the Echo Arena Liverpool.
