Samantha Moitzi AKA Sam and Al Perkins met for the first time in season 9 episode 5 of the reality show ‘Married at First Sight Australia.’ The program is based on a Danish format that has spawned the popular media franchise. It focuses on social research where people agree to marry but with someone, they do not know at all!

Are Samantha and Al Still Together?
The wedding day of 26-year-old Samantha and her 25-year-old bridegroom Al was not easy at first. Although Al seemed to find her really attractive, it did not take long for Sam to receive warning signs about her new husband. The Gold Coast fashion manager admitted that she “wanted a man, not a boy,” and Al was the latest. The fact that he lived with his mother and relied on her for everything became clear on Al and Sam’s wedding day. Moreover, making a caterpillar on the dance floor did not help him.

Al, on the other hand, Al could not have been happier with Samantha, as she had shown that he was everything he wanted in a woman – beautiful, talented, and independent. Although he was proud of his appearance, it was not something that impressed Sam. She believed that it took more to make a relationship work than to look so good.
The difference between Samantha and Al’s view of maturity and relationships led the former to decide that she did not want to stay in the relationship. Although the Bondi Beach carpenter wanted to make things work, Sam did not see the future in him. However, she warmed her as a person, though that did not mean love. Eventually, Samantha and Al decided to move out of their relationship, even though they had a good idea. So, where are they now?

Although it was clear from the program that Sam and Al were not targeted, they seemed to have kept their friendship. In a March 2022 interview, Al thought about his trip with Sam and what it meant for him. He said, “I grew up as a person in this test… He even admitted that he had to learn to relax since it was another matter of arguing with Samantha.
Al admitted that he enjoyed being a part of the program in spite of everything. He continued, “Although I came here to find love, I failed. I never found love but came back with something much better, and that’s for lifelong friends – including Sam as a friend. “After he and Sam ended their relationship in the program, they went on a skiing day to make sure they left things on a high note.

In a separate interview in mid-March 2022, Al shared that he has been continuing the growth process. He is looking for houses to buy to get out of his mother’s house. He said, “Obviously I will learn a lot, I have to thank Sam for teaching me so many things.” As for Sam, he doesn’t seem to have a hard time with Al. This is evidenced by his playful captions in his writing on social media about their time in the reality series.
So, Samantha and Al no longer seem to be involved in romance. However, it is difficult to ignore all the work that he has been doing because of his personal growth. With that said, we hope Sam and Al find the right people when the time comes, and we won’t be so happy to find wonderful friends with each other!
