P-Valley Season 2 Episode 3, When Diamond tried to treat Mercedes, she told him he had some weight on his arms and shoulders. Diamond uses his therapies to remove the invisible substance from Mercedes’ body and to measure weight. Seeing that it weighed seven pounds, Diamond informed him that it required seven pounds to pull the trigger, indicating that it was Mercedes who shot Montavius.
However, it is not certain if he is really dead. When Hailey asks about him, Diamond chooses not to talk about him and lets him know that he has made sure he never appears in their lives again.

P-Valley Season 2 Episode 2, ‘Seven Pounds of Pressure’ begins with Hailey, Mercedes, and Uncle Clifford doing interviews to replace Keyshawn and Gidget. Although Hailey and Mercedes fought over the options, Whisper, Roulette, and Big Bone were selected as the new dancers at The Pynk.
Corbin Kyle and Andre discuss the prospect of selling the club with Hailey and Clifford. Corbin is offering half a million establishments, only for Hailey to claim ten million. Corbin is forced to suspend talks, at least for now, when he hears Hailey’s demands. Big Teak, a member of Lil Murda’s Hurt Village Hustlas, is released on parole.
Rome meets with Keyshawn to discuss the terms of his joining Lil Murda on his trip. She puts the demands ahead of Rome. Hailey decides to reopen The Pynk unintentionally on Clifford’s birthday. Even though she knows the same thing, she decides to go ahead and reopen since she still wants to start leading, especially because of the team’s financial problems. Depressed Clifford is kidnapped by a group to celebrate her unexpected birthday, organized by Earnestine. During the festivities, she meets a man.
Keyshawn and Derrick’s relationship has been strained because he has lost all trust in her. However, Keyshawn is able to protect the relationship without much damage and asks her boyfriend to trust her. She finally agrees to join Lil Murda on his journey. On re-opening day, Whisper, Roulette, and Big Bone were introduced as new dancers. Observing the attention of newcomers, Mercedes tried to navigate the dangerous paths to look for customers but failed. Clifford contacts Diamond to heal Mercedes.
