Mehdi Avaz is in charge of the bilingual English love film Danish-Good ‘Toscana.’ At the crossroads of culinary experts and the natural splendor of the vast countryside, the “Toscana.” film reminds us to follow our hearts in spite of the hustle and bustle. The story unfolds in the mind of Theo, who, on the verge of Michelin’s famous star-filled career in Denmark, returns to his native Tuscany to sell his father’s luxurious mansion. The big house is in poor condition, and Theo needs money to save his restaurant.
Meanwhile, Theo meets Sophia, an innocent employee of Theo’s father’s modest restaurant. As they approach, Sophia shows Theo the beauty of a simple lifestyle. The ending is subdued and calm, along with the rest of the film. Well-shot, sadly written, and with a steady continuation, the film is able to do something unique and refreshing with its modest size. However, you may wonder if the “Toscana” film is based on a real story.
Is Toscana a Real Story?
No, ‘Toscana’ is not based on a real story. However, the ambiance of feeling good and the extravaganza of recipes lend the film a magical dress, and its persistence in staying current gives the story a universal charm. Mehdi Avaz directed the “Toscana” film from a story he wrote with the famous screenplay writer Nikolaj Scherfig of ‘Heartless’ fame. Along with her brothers Misam and Milad Avaz, Mehdi performed a flexible trio.
The Avaz brothers rioted with their 2017 success, ‘While We Are Alive.’ Two years later, Mehdi hosted a drama called ‘KOLLISION,’ which shocked the audience and critics, selling nearly 250,000 tickets.
In 2020, the brothers reunited to release their dream project, the crime series TV 2 Zulu ‘Alfa,’ which was a magnetic opiate to the network.
