At first, Edmond blames everyone around him, including Frank, with whom Joan is currently in a relationship. He also finds out that authorities in Glasgow and London have been interested in the abduction of his son.

This makes him realize that the government is investigating the company he works for. He also begins to wonder if Ethan’s disappearance is linked to his work. With so many ideas to consider, Edmond has to choose the right one and save his son before it’s too late.

Is My Son a Real Story?

No, ‘My Son’ is not based on a real story. It is an English translation of the 2017 name namesake French. Both projects are directed by French filmmaker Christian Carion, who has used a unique editing tool that can change the way stories are told in films and on television. Neither McAvoy nor his French colleague Guillaume Canet has been given the script for their films. Instead, they had to rely entirely on their own developmental abilities to direct their attention to the solution that they prefer.

According to McAvoy, he was able to have an experience that no other character has ever experienced while working on ‘My Son. ‘Since the movie is a play, the narrative tested McAvoy’s automatic rendering skills. As the story unfolded, McAvoy revealed the mystery at the same time as the audience. This means that there has always been a chance that McAvoy can follow a false trail and never find the son of his character.

Contrary to McAvoy, colleagues Claire Foy, Gary Lewis, Tom Cullen, and others knew about the plot and provided an account of the number of encounters and formation. Their actions in the film, depending on the circumstances, helped McAvoy or became a threat to his search for Ethan. For example, Cullen’s misconduct seemed to convince McAvoy that the former was responsible for Ethan’s disappearance. In addition, Gary Lewis, as Inspector Roy, tried his best to convince McAvoy that the enemies his character created in his career were behind Ethan’s disappearance.

In all scenes, the film’s history depends entirely on how McAvoy reacted to a particular situation. This would be counterproductive if things went awry. What would happen if McAvoy found out where Ethan was within the first half-hour of the film? Had ‘My Son’ been released as a short film at the time? What if McAvoy has never been able to solve this mystery? Have we found another poem that stands out? There are endless possibilities with this particular filmmaking method. Finally, with ‘My Son,’ the filmmakers play a new role, giving their lead actor never-before-seen freedom. However, the film is not based on a true story.
