‘MaveriX’ is a youth sports series. The story revolves around a group of six young motocross riders joining a newly formed anonymous team in Central Australia in hopes of making a name for themselves at the MX National Championships. Faced with challenges posed by a difficult environment, strenuous training sessions, and their conflicting personalities, young daredevils must learn to work together in order to grow together. ‘MaveriX’ wants to introduce the world to motocross, a real off-road motorcycle racing game.

Is MaveriX a True Story?
No, ‘MaveriX’ is not based on a real story. However, the few people who were directly involved in the drama were part of the writing and recording processes. The program is set up and recorded in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, a major off-road motorcycle racing center. About seven years before the start of the show on Netflix, co-producers Clements and Elliott began discussing a family drama with young people against the backdrop of dirt bikes and outdoor racing. At the time, they were working together on ‘Finke: There and Back,’ a documentary related to the Finke Desert Race, held annually in Alice Springs.
Moreover, at the same time, Clements’ son, Digby, a champion of the Under-10 Central Australian BMX, wanted to switch to motocross bikes and dirty bikes and take part in a small club competition. This made Clements worried about her son, and she understood the difficult training the children were going through to prepare themselves for the game.
“They have to learn about safety and recovery; respect for coaches, colleagues, and your body; teamwork; maintenance and maintenance of equipment; good play and games; humility when others crash near you, and always look out for those around you to make sure everyone is right, ”writes Clements on the Australian Children’s Television Foundation blog. “Indeed, many of them are life lessons that my son needs to learn in order to be a decent man. These lessons and more are learned by our characters in MaveriX. ”
Clements then spoke to Meikle and took him to Alice Springs to see the Finke Desert Race, and the project began to take shape from there. The creators used Elliott’s vast knowledge of the world of off-road motorcycle racing to develop a plot. One of the main characters, Scott Griffin (Darcy Tadich), is similar to the director of the TV series ‘The Legend of Burnout Barry.’ , ”He pointed out in an interview. “And it was just me. I was like a mirror. ”
They hired prominent motocross riders, including Renae Ferris, Emma Haylock, and Dean Ferris, to double the number of players. In addition, they have brought three-time New Zealander Champion World Champion Courtney Duncan and Australian motocross legend Lee Hogan to the press room. Obviously, ‘MaveriX’ is not based on a true story, but the creators have tried long distances to make it look as realistic as possible.
