‘Brotherhood’ or ‘Irmandade’ is a Brazilian crime series set in the mid-90s in São Paulo. The case follows Cristina Ferreira, a dedicated lawyer who found out that her brother, Edson, had been arrested. Edson is in charge of a gang known as the Brotherhood. Authorities forced Cristina to join a troublesome organization and become a police detective. However, the more time he spends with a group, the more he begins to question the meaning of justice.

A Brotherhood Is A Real Story?
No. ‘Brotherhood’ is not based on a real story. The series was announced by Netflix on July 12, 2018, under the heading ‘Group.’
