‘Interceptor focuses on Captain JJ Collins, re-elected to SBX-1, one of the two US Army’s shooting missiles. Interceptor (2022): Synopsis
‘Interceptor’ starts with several soldiers kidnapping Fort Greely, one of the two proposed US Defense Forces. Captain JJ Collins, on the other hand, has been re-assigned to another SBX-1, which is located in the Pacific Ocean.
On her first day back in the area, Colonel Marshall informed him that they were following in the footsteps of a Russian submarine. Collins meets Rahul Shah and Beaver Baker, colleagues, and Marshall and four of them soon find out that Fort Greely has fallen. Suddenly, the Pentagon alerted them with Russian missiles aimed at 15 cities in the United States.
Since SBX-1 is the only remaining archery base in operation, Collins and others are preparing to defend the country from a future array of attacks. While suspecting that terrorists were entering the area, Alexander Kessel, who worked at the base, and his group killed Marshall and claimed to have been the target of Russian missiles. Collins was able to close the command center for Alexander and his team, but only Beaver revealed he had them. Collins knew that Alexander was an American military intelligence officer.
With the help of Beaver, Alexander and his group entered the command center and began feeding live to announce to the public that fifteen US states would soon be destroyed. Alexander orders the introduction of a single arrow as a start but Collins manages to destroy it with a shortcut before hitting Los Angeles.
In retaliation, Alexander opens the base valves to immerse the complex. Shah tries to close the valves but is killed by Beaver while doing so. While Alexander is talking to his colleagues, Collins sees himself as a paid man and not a mastermind of the attack.
Interceptor Ending, Explained: What Happened At The End?
Captain Collins introduced interceptors before Russian missiles struck the United States. When Alexander opened the SBX-1 valves, the base began to sink into the Pacific. Collins meets the need to destroy fourteen Russian arrows before the foundation sinks to save her country. She sees that Alexander has the luxury of waiting for a sinking base to invade the United States and the only way to prevent that from happening is to force him to launch arrows early so she can shoot the interceptors before the base sinks. so. When she gets approval from the President, Collins tricks Alexander into letting him take control of the command center.
Collins believes she can regain control of the facility once Alexander orders the launch of the arrows to destroy them. Her plan works as Alexander directs the launch of fourteen arrows rather than waiting for the foundation to sink. He chooses to shoot arrows early to show his arrogance and power to the world. Alexander, while boasting of holding the reins of command at the command center, fails to understand that he has indulged in Collins’ cunning. She rushes back to the command center to unload the connectors, only to find the launch button destroyed by acid.
However, Collins was able to shut down the connectors by introducing them to her laptop. She kills Beaver, gets into the roof of the foundation, connects the laptop to the launch system, and burns the connectors. All fourteen missile arrows are destroyed by connectors before any accident occurs. Collins’ courage to risk millions of lives temporarily by allowing Alexander to enter the command center and authorize the launch of arrows to help him save the same lives.
When Alexander Kessel introduced himself and his intentions to Captain Collins, he became convinced that he was the mastermind behind an arrow attack. He announces her six years of hard work to catch the SBX-1 with Fort Greely. In Collins’ eyes at first, Alexander is a vicious genius. However, he is nothing but a former intelligence officer, paid to carry out the work of Russian terrorists. Alexander is not the mastermind of the attack and is responsible for the Russians who paid him. When he fails to carry out the attack, his life becomes the cost of his failure.
Russian terrorists have planned an arrow attack after overcoming numerous obstacles. They even attacked the Tavlinka archery in Russia by obtaining assault rifles as a final step in their detailed program. Their plans come to naught when Alexander gets into Collins’ strategy and orders the launch of the arrows without waiting for the foundation to sink. After a failed attack, Alexander is nothing but a useless Russian ally and they kill him. While confirming Alexander’s assassination, the Russians considered killing Collins. However, they decided not to kill him.
The killing of Collins will not result in any benefit to the Russians. In addition, one of the Russian team leaders even handed over his cap which seemed to be a sign of recognition of his effective and courageous attempts to defend himself and their archery attacks.
Captain Collins’ father is alive. Before attempting to seize control of the SBX-1, Alexander prepares well. He has sent his men to a retirement home where Collins’ father lives. When she defending the command center, Alexander orders his men to harm her father and show her the same. Her father, a former soldier, asks Collins to defend her country instead of worrying about him. When she makes it clear to Alexander that she will follow her father’s words, Alexander orders his men to kill Collins’ father, and the video is cut short.
Collins continues to fight for her country as a tribute to her father, thinking he is dead. However, his military friends arrived at his retirement home to rescue him and rescue him from Alexander’s men. He is coming to visit her daughter when she enters the hospital after being rescued by a SWAT team in a drowning area.
