Grown-Ish Season 4 Episode 13, Jazz resumes treatment after a series of obstacles, which will expose him to cultural and personal ideas surrounding mental health. At that point, Ana and Aaron will be able to reconnect innocently from the past, which will make Zoey and Vivek feel comfortable. In Grown-ish Season 4 Episode 12, the father of Nomi’s baby Phil appears as he seeks to get her and their daughter back, Luna’s life, leaving Nomi trapped between a rock and a hard place. Meanwhile, Zoey tries to hire Kiela to help, as hostilities between Luca and Doug ruin his training.
We get the history of Nomi and Phil’s relationship so far as they sit facing each other in the restaurant. Adorable Luna was born after the first two times they met, had good sex, and Nomi eventually became pregnant. She fed him a ghost after telling him about her daughter. Phil then explained that he was fascinated by the idea of having a living, breathing human being and that he was thinking about Luna every day.
Phil then says he wants to do the right thing and be a father to his daughter after he apologizes for misbehaving. He also said that he wished to meet her. Ana dresses Luna up to visit with Phil back to the house. Luna and Ana seem happy to meet Phil, but Nomi is nervous. Phil hands Luna a pink teddy bear after she kneels down to introduce herself when she arrives in the yard to meet Nomi and Luna.
In time, Nomi finally comes to trust him, as they have a plan to spend time with Luna. When Nomi tells her to invite her family to Luna’s second birthday party, she is overjoyed. However, when Phil reads the day of the party and says he can’t do it and asks him to change the date, she refuses to do so.
