Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 17: Recap
Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 17, Title “I’ll Cover You” As for Owen and Teddy, we see them in family therapy, talking about Leo’s sex explorations. Teddy thinks she already sees Leo’s “persistent, consistent, and persistent” signs that he is changing, but the therapist is not sure. The therapist says Leo can create sex right now and he doesn’t need to change his pronouns or clothes.
Later that day, however, Amelia points out that Teddy is getting impatient, and Teddy admits that she just wants to lead and help Leo in his journey. But Amelia also encourages patience, sharing her experience with Kai. “Things and people don’t have to be defined in order to be popular without conditions,” Amelia said. (And at the end of the episode, Teddy tells Leo that he can spend as much time as he needs to determine the taste of the ice cream, and yes, we can all think that is a metaphor.)
As for church patients, the first is Simon, a synovial sarcoma patient from Link’s (Chris Carmack) ago. Kristen, Simon’s pregnant wife, found him unable to breathe that morning, so she let him in. Jo (Camilla Luddington), who has since returned to routine surgery, wonders if Simon’s symptoms are related to chemo. But the scan shows that Simon has a weight on his hip that almost blocks the small intestine. She recommends removing the tumor, but during the operation, she realizes that doing so is very dangerous, so she focuses on relieving Simon during his final weeks.
When Jo tells Kristen about Simon’s prediction, Kristen asks that they give birth early so that Simon can meet the baby. Jo, speaking as OB / GYN, says that doing so can be very dangerous, but Link goes over Jo’s head and tells Kristen that he will ask Carina about it.
Jo then pulled Link aside and asked why he was insulting her, and Link said he saw that Jo was a user. She allegedly sexually assaulted him, chased him away, and expected him to guard her daughter while she went out with Todd. Link’s outburst forces Jo to admit that she was in love with Link and to turn her away to protect their friendship.
Speaking of controversial medical cases, another church patient Margot, who did not want her doctors, Maggie and Winston (Anthony Hill), told his wife about his abdominal aortic aneurysm. It turned out that the wife wanted Margot to be tested weeks ago, and Margot lied and said that she had done it. Now she does not want to admit that she was unfaithful. Winston accuses Margot repeatedly, as Maggie tries to calm the situation. Then Margot starts writing codes – her aneurysm ruptures, apparently – and just before she faints, she tells the doctors to call her wife.
