Firebite Season 1 was first released on December 16, 2021, on AMC + and completed its 8 longer episodes on February 3, 2022. All episodes of the show have a watching time of about 42 minutes.
For Firebite Season 2, Its AMC + distribution platform has not yet confirmed another season yet. However, the creators are clear about creating what is amazing and impressing the viewer. As such, there have been a few hopeful statements made by actors Yael Stone as Eleona and Dan McDermott, president of actual programming for AMC Networks and managing director of AMC Studios.
The exposure of Indigenous Australians and the brutal colonialism of the past through a thrilling world full of vampires brings something real to the table, as Yael puts it.
One of Dan’s most powerful statements echoes his joy of “telling the story honestly, in Australia with Indigenous storytellers, actors, and staff and in Indigenous countries.” In addition, Rachel Gardner, head of See-Saw Films for the Australian drama and co-producer of the series, also gave her two cents per type of project. Discovering it “is incredibly exciting to bring Warwick and Brendan’s unique view to the screen with an octane explosive story depicting the complexities of colonialism and racism, driven by Indigenous storytellers.”
Likewise, Thornton and Fletcher have also expressed their satisfaction with writing influential stories over the past two decades. Compared to their previous career, this refreshing shift in the world of vampires is something they seem to look forward to. Therefore, the return of ‘Firebite’ seems possible, although we have not yet made an official announcement of that.
If the stage decides to light up additional episodes, the program will spend the first few months under production. Thereafter, the release date may be gradually confirmed. So, at every opportunity, we expect Firebite Season 2 will release in 2023.
