Euphoria Season 2 Episode 6: Recap
Euphoria Season 2 Episode 6 opens with Rue’s situation following all the chaos. She is in her home, alive. However, life is slow, as withdrawal is very difficult. She’s a mess, clinically she’s beyond comprehension, at least when you compare the episode with the previous one. Rue’s mother takes care of her while Gia is deeply saddened by Rue’s degenerative condition. At the same time, Rue’s mother plans to take him to a correctional facility.
However, there are no empty beds there. Rue tries to challenge her status to the best of her ability, which is herculean work. She feels bad for scolding his mother before. She also feels bad about what she said to Ali. Rue then picks up the phone and calls him, apologizing to him. Ali forgave her immediately, which was a moment of relief amid the constant pain in Rue. Later, Ali arrives and talks to Gia about his sister. He tells her that it is understandable if he is angry with Rue.
Although Gia denies that he is angry, she is certainly angry with him. At dinner, Rue says he will go to rehab and fix all the bad things she did to everyone. Gia is not sure if rehab will work. Ali agrees but says there is hope it can work, only depending on Rue. Later, Rue and Gia finally talked to the sisters. Gia tells her sister that she no longer knows what is going on in her younger sister’s life.
Gia then tells Rue that she will tell him everything about it when she returns from rehab. However, access to rehab may not be possible for Rue. Leslie later receives a call from the center, informing her that rehab will not happen in Rue yet. Leslie cries and cries for a chance because if there is no rehab, she fears that Rue will definitely commit suicide. A legitimate fear that lives not only in Rue’s mother’s mind but also in every Euphoria fan.
