Centauro: Synopsis
“Centauro.”Rafa is an excellent motorsports driver who is smooth on curves. However, it is a type of black sheep and has difficulty making it larger in the region. Thus, Rafa manages the day’s work as a crane operator. But things are starting to look good for Rafa as he is being recognized by Regina and his Honda racing team. After a fine conversation with Regina, Rafa takes his baby Matthew over to his longtime girlfriend, Natalia. Although Rafa did not marry Natalia as he despised the family idea, Rafa still cares for the world through Natalia.
So Rafa is alarmed to learn that Natalia has become involved in drug trafficking, joining forces with the Colombian organized crime group. Natalia has been stripped of large drug paraphernalia, and the criminals she works for need compensation. As the problem continues to grow, Rafa goes to cartel leader Carlos to negotiate. Although Carlos is not yet ready to negotiate, his sidekick Boro knows a good rider when he sees one. Eventually, they work for Rafa, who desperately wants to get Natalia out of the labyrinth.
According to the agreement, Rafa has to make an overnight trip to Marseilles to deliver drugs to Carlos’ clients while he finds a place to stop a hole in the middle. Rafa has to put his life in line to make the trip less than 2 hours away, avoiding police chases every day. He agrees to do this test for two months, which will end Natalia’s debts. One night, Rafa was almost caught chasing police and demanding a Kawasaki 1000 from Carlos.
While that doesn’t happen, Carlos is angry with Fadel, Boro’s cousin, who may have been involved in the theft of Natalia’s stash. Although allegations within the organization begin, Rafa burns tires until the end of his two-month contract. He also finds blue pills in Boro, which blur his vision. Rafa tries hard to keep the balance, leading to a significant fall in the final round of selection in the race. Suddenly, he realizes that the criminals will not let him go after two months, and vigilance requires action.”Centauro.”
What Is The Real Meaning of Centauro?
The title ‘Centauro’ is a Spanish word that translates into English as a centaur, a mythical creature. The centaur (sometimes hippocentaur; also known as Kentaur, Centaurus, and Sagittary) is a creature of Greek origin – Cypriot mythology. Etymologically, we can trace the meaning of ‘piercing bull’ or ‘bull slayer.’ As shown in ancient paintings and photographs, centurors are part of the horse and part of man. In Greek architectural paintings of the Archaic era, centurors come in three different forms, as Professor Paul Baur explains. In Class A, they have a human body attached to a horse’s body when it withers.
Class B centurions, on the other hand, are depicted with human bodies and legs with a horse’s waist. In some presentations, Class A and B appear together. In the third rare, Class C designation, centuruses have human front legs that end with the legs. After all, the sign of the zodiac Sagittarius is depicted as a centaur holding a bow. According to legend, these creatures have a connection with Dionysian, Dionysus the Ancient Greek god of plants, fertility, madness, religious pleasure, festivals, and art.
The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche was the first to point out the conflict between the Apollonian (rational, moral) and Dionysian (irrational, and chaotic) values that dominated the Greek catastrophe. Competition between the two pillars of the understanding of beauty has had a profound effect on popular Western cultures until the twenty-first century. In the first myth, centuruses are cunning, cynical, and cruel. At the same time, some modern myths of the ‘Chronicles of Narnia portray these creatures as intelligent and venerable, endowed with the power to heal. It is easy to understand why a director might think it is the right title in the context of a film.
In short, the screening producer illuminated the meaning of the word relating to the life and work of Rafa. According to the film’s proposal, motorcyclists are like centuries, with wheels instead of hoofs. Like the centurion in the ancient myth, Rafa is naughty, self-absorbed, and excels at cycling. And you are fertile, emotional, and suffering – just a few other Dionysian traits. So, looking at all the features, the name goes with the film like an ancestor in a bottle. At the same time, using the name of the amazing creature, the director and the creative team firmly established the film in the realm of Western culture.”Centauro.”
Centauro Ending, Explained: Boro Is Alive or Dead?
“Centauro.”At the end of his two-month term, Rafa meets Boro at their former meeting place. Boro is busy counting the money. Rafa asks for a break, but Boro thinks differently. Not keeping his agreement, Boro threatened Rafa to continue the gang tour. If he fails to do so, Rafa may lose Natalia, according to Boro. The gang threatens Rafa that they will sell Natalia to the Arabs, and Rafa cannot be insulted.
Rafa pretends to get out of the garage, grabs his helmet, and heads back to Boro. He smashes the helmet on Boro’s head several times, and low blood pressure indicates that Boro is dead. Following the incident, rival Diego arrives at the scene to help Rafa clean up the mess. At first, they were sad because Rafa looked terrified. However, as he returns from the shock, he suggests to a group of rivals that they might have money and contacts on Boro’s phone.
In short, they can beat Carlos and become the owners of all the work. Looking in all directions, Diego thinks it is a great opportunity. After that, Carlos comes looking for Rafa while Boro is away, and he doesn’t pick up Carlos’ phone. Rafa gently suggests that Boro go to meet his cousin Fadel. However, Carlos’ men tried to find the truth, only to discover that Fadel had returned to his cell after another crime. Meanwhile, Boro’s death makes Rafa stand out from the police radar.
Regina, Rafa’s sponsor, has always said she sees her team as a family, more than a team. The suggestion is that people tend to make families with strangers in that we are human. No one, not even Rafa, can live alone. Despite Rafa’s repeated misdemeanors, Regina maintains faith in Rafa. Meanwhile, the Honda team is reaching the final selection. Rafa, trapped in a personal struggle, rarely has time to focus on the race.
Just before the race, he takes two green pills that Boro had previously given him. When looking at the color of the drug, it seems like Fentanyl, an opioid that suppresses nerve receptors to relieve pain. The drug gets stronger, and Rafa gets off the track, staying behind. Eventually, Rafa receives a call from Regina and meets her in person. Regina managed to convince the financier to keep Rafa so he could get something else.
Fans continue to focus a second time on the news, perhaps seeing Rafa’s rise to prominence. He was called to the police station. Someone left photos of Rafa’s where Boro died. Photos show Rafa in the background, and he is trying to deny the allegations. The officer tells him they know everything as the lead seems solid.
Who sent the tip, we wonder. It could be Diego who wants to get away from Carlos. On the contrary, it is possible that one of the officers followed Rafa to the hiding place. To his surprise, however, Rafa did not arrest Rafa in prison. On the contrary, he wants to hire Rafa as a member of the Central Narcotics Squad. In the last episode, Rafa wears a ‘Centauro-1’ jacket, which helps police detain drug traffickers in jail.”Centauro.”
