Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 25: Recap
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 25, After successfully rescuing Jean, Yelena, and Onyankopon from the Yaegerists, Eldians, and Marleyans holding hands to prevent Eren from carrying out his genocide plans they found dinner together somewhere in the woods. Sometime earlier, Hange personally had discussed with Jean and Mikasa the current situation.
While the latter offers immediate help to persuade Eren not to do the unthinkable, the first one has several bookings. But after Hange reminded him of the donations of his deceased comrades, he too agrees to join the program.
But just before they had dinner together, the Eldians and Marleyans holding hands for the same reason seemed to be arguing over working with their sworn enemies. General Magath asks Hange about his sudden change of heart and also opens up about his hatred of the Eldians, who continue to call them the Devil.
He is convinced that he and the Marleys were always right about people living in Paradise Island. Terrified by his hate speech, Jean claims that his people have defended themselves only from the many Titans that Magath’s country deliberately sent to kill the Eldians.
Unfortunately, Magath was indifferent to Jean’s arguments and recounts Ymir’s 2,000-year history of war and bloodshed. Hange tries to calm things down by arguing that conversations about the past are interpreted by the present reality, but differences of opinion are highlighted only in other arguments. Yelena, who has been quietly listening to the whole conversation, reminds the Eldians and Marleyans of their horrible crimes.
Negotiations soon come out of control and culminate in Reiner Jean’s violent beating when the owner of the Armored Titan admits something about his past. Luckily, Gabi intervenes and calms down by apologizing to Jean, then straightens up and leaves.
The next day he wakes up Gabi and Reiner as members of Eren’s revolt head towards the port. But on the way, they were stopped by a Cart Titan, informing them that the harbor was inhabited by Yeagerists.
