Vanessa first met professional photographer Nick Hardy (better known as Tom Fraud, a pseudonym she took to represent both art and freedom) in Raya in October 2020, where they just clicked. Their initial interactions were just ordinary text that quickly turned into a passion, which resulted in them continuing to discuss this way for about three months before meeting for the first time in Mexico. This is because while based in Los Angeles, he is from the UK, which makes them believe that their home country could be a good place for them to get to know each other better.

The journey of the two was supposed to take ten days, but because they felt extremely comfortable and could not let go, it turned out to be a two-month journey where they realized they had found it. Yes, the next moment was tough for both Vanessa and Nick because of the long-distance – no matter how much they kept in touch or how far they traveled to be together – but they were able to make it work. It was unlikely that they would break up every time they parted, but the couple knew that their future would be bright on the road, and they were right.
