Rae Williams was the one who gave Zay Wilson the end after 2 years of dating, insisting he wanted to start the life she had planned with her, yet she believed neither of them was right. The 25-year-old woman not only said they did not have financial stability, but he also revealed that his girlfriend still had trouble expressing her feelings to support his situation. Later, he admitted that he saw the future with the woman he had been with throughout college, suggesting that it was the timeline and the problems they faced that surrounded him, that led to this test.

However, when they separated, the two appeared to be drowning in a controlled dating scene, and while the 24-year-old was in contact with Jake Cunningham, Zay found a spark with Shanique Imari. They felt jealous, guilty, and sometimes sad because of the (good) way things were going on in these new links, yet there is no denying that Rae and Jake were dating on another level. From having so much in common to share their deepest desires and from having an emotional relationship to sharing more than just a few kisses, this new couple has done it all.

So when Rae and Zay reunited, things did not go well for both of them, especially since they had acquired a different kind of mathematics with Shanique. The first couple hugged on their first night without a hitch, but the cracks began to increase as time went on, and at this stage, they did not hold back from pursuing their happiness. Zay finally admitted loudly that he was ready to settle down permanently with his teammates, but Rae was no longer on the same page – she locked him out and then left, never to return all night.
Rae realized that Zay was rightly angry, but then at 2 am, all she wanted was to hold her phone, answer her text, or open his seat to let him know where he was and if he was okay. However, when he returned at 8:00 am, he tried to force her to stay with him while he tried to escape from the apartment, which led to an argument. After telling him a few times to let him go, Rae really hit him, and that’s when things got worse until he finished because she knew it wasn’t.

Zay’s subsequent attempts to get his girlfriend to open up and stare at him were unsuccessful, and when she made it clear there was no going back, he finally said “I love you” before they parted. And from what we can tell about their online presence, the Texas natives have never reconciled, which means no, they are no longer together. However, both HBCU graduates (Black Colleges and Universities Historically) and the social media model/platform seem happy right now, which is all that matters.
