Surrounding a group of unmarried people as they try to find the same, love, and engage in marriage – all without looking at each other, to see if they can walk the road after a month. One such experiment to test this concept in season 2 was that of Deepti and Abhishek.

When Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee first joined the police, he seemed uninvolved in the program because he was still putting too much importance on his appearance. After all, he not only revealed the sizes of clothing and gym plans while talking to potential suitors but also asked things like whether he could carry them on his shoulders at music events. It seemed a bit strange, yet Deepti Vempati handled the situation and stuck to it because he had connected with her through their Indian history, and their values, at a very deep level.

The fact that neither of them had ever dated a black man before that because of their need to enter the Western world was a push for closeness, which led to high-risk negotiations. In fact, after Deepti admitted that he had once been on a very difficult side, Abhishek admitted that his approach to every effort was wrong and that he was deeply “ashamed”. He then went on to reveal that he was an obese child, with severe body image problems, which led Deepti to admit that he was looking for her as he was inside.
Finally, an unexpected suggestion came up, with the veterinarian and the DJ saying in part, “I’ve never met anyone who seems to understand me the way you do… Can you make me feel different… I’m the luckiest man in the world and marry me?” Well, Deepti said yes, and thankfully, their subsequent face-to-face contact repeated their feelings.
The best part, however, was when Abhishek touched Deepti’s feet because the latter had told him he would not do the same with her equal – it is customary in Indian tradition for a wife to touch her husband’s feet when married.
Despite the strong start and showing great affection, in the beginning, the “animal attraction” Abhishek wanted between himself and Deepti did not materialize. Therefore, they did not examine their physical intimacy and simply focused on the bond between their souls, which seemed to be both good and bad.

They learned a lot about each other as they adjusted to their relationships in the real world until they realized that the support/care they received from their partner was incomparable. On the other hand, a lack of enthusiasm raised doubts about their future together.
When they get to their current situation, although Deepti or Abhishek have said nothing explicitly about their involvement, we believe they may have found their best conclusion. That’s because they continue to follow each other (and members of their partner’s family) on social media while happily advertising ‘Love Is Blind,’ which makes it seem like the experience has left them empty without feeling complete. In fact, their story made it clear that they were in love and were willing to try, so we don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to fix their problems.
