“A Perfect Pairing.” Netflix has seen what Lifetime and Hallmark are cooking up in the genre of love and the fast-paced making of safe, flawless, and humorous love jokes. This type of rom-com is not the kind that people re-visit when they are looking for something warm and comfortable at night, background sound, or time-wasting. Not those types of movies because the same rom-com with the same stock characters, tropes, comedy, and power will be released next week.

A Perfect Pairing (2022): Movie Review
There is an ongoing series of fare-free hits that do not last long. A Perfect Pairing – not to be confused with Hallmark The Perfect Pairing, which is about a wine critic who suffers from temporary amnesia and who likes the owner of a well-known wine cellar – fits into that rom-com mold. Perfect Pairing conducts a culture of unusual romantic jokes that are even simpler in love. However, if that doesn’t happen, A Perfect Pairing, directed by Stuart McDonald, is a funny, fun way to go from ordinary travel.
Victoria Justice is the latest star to have a career revival on Netflix and is popularly known as Lola Alveraz. Lola is a hard-working wine executive who is very good at her job and is a big wine fan. After several years of working for an unemployed employer (Craig Horner’s Tale Story) and the theft of his client by a colleague, Lola raises her own by opening her own wine distribution company. In order to be successful in business, she focuses on Vaughn Family Wines, a client who has been kidnapped from him.
She collects and travels to Australia to fight her case, which leads her to volunteer to fill a job position on Vaughn’s sheep farm to present himself to businessman Hazel Vaughn (Samantha Tolj). She must train and work with good station manager Max (Adam Demos), who has fast chemistry. Max doubts Lola but feels her admirable charm and attitude of wanting to leave, which could mean that his guarded heart might be hers.
Adam Demos and Victoria Justice in A Perfect Pairing Posted by Hilary Galanoy and Elizabeth Hackett, two who gave viewers the love of Netflix Love, Guaranteed and Falling Inn Love, A Perfect Pairing (barely) rises above those ROMs- com mentioned above for two reasons: Attractive actors and some amazing cinematography. Ben Nott’s cinematography is a league before love jokes. A refreshing color palette allows green, blue, purple, and pink to shine and appear bright on the screen.
Day and night, the Australian landscape looks perfect, almost like this clever tourist ad from Land Down Under. There is vibration and eye-catching texture and there is something deeply involved in what is happening on screen. The script is still fragile and soft, and the imitation is just that, but Nott’s approach creates an enticing atmosphere.
Victoria Justice and Adam Demos have decent chemicals that are not expanded as one might expect. However, each one is beautiful in its own way – not together. Justice goes hand in hand with her tried and true Nickelodeon training (bonus: She gets to show off her singing skills, too), and Demos is a fair amount of soft and stubborn.
Watching this reminded the author of an ongoing conversation about non-chemical and non-sex love movies and the proliferation of these non-flammable comedy stories. Perfect Pairing is a perfect example of love jokes built on self-preservation and never crossing the sexy line. And it works. Lifetime and Hallmark built an empire with this strategy.
Much of what we find in A Perfect Pairing is an attempt to download a free Demos shirtless and heroine staring at her in amazement. Deeply soft, to some extent acceptable. Here, there is a serious lack of dating. The characters seem to stumble into love.
Although there are many scenes in which they are acquainted, there is a clear lack of physical or sexual tension. However, these actors have that rare ability to combine their games with a little heat to give the romance the movement they need. Demos also learned the art of lovestruck, which helps.
It is strange to have an issue that ultimately aims to create romance but fails to do so. It is a rare gift to give a loved one a chance to do what is right, not something to be done by a middle-aged couple. The attraction is obvious, but the movie quickly passes through important moments when a couple may be able to fill that void. It leaves viewers wondering about things: Did Lola and Max dive into the lake overnight and refrain from kissing after eye-to-eye contact with shared laughter? Probably not.
When the two-act out their feelings, it is suddenly closed by Max, who has been hiding from Lola. A Perfect Pairing film continues to wrap up its third act very quickly and closes with a last kiss, and that’s it. It is never satisfied with love. Regardless of the meaning of the title, the main couple is perfect only for the sake of fiction and not for the seemingly intimate fit of love.
What A Perfect Pairing lacks in romance, goes hand in hand with a lot of heart and respectable life lessons. The cast of the group is noisy and charming, with their stories to follow. Just as it was frustrating to watch a film quickly pass any hot moments between Lola and Max, the film did the same when the side actors were inspired by Lola’s action or were about to have a personal collaboration that would lead to a later date.
Lola and Max are middle-aged people, but these other characters seem fun, and it wouldn’t be so bad to just put a scene or two of them doing their stuff. Finally, the film is retained by a stunning portrayal of the personality and trajectory of Lola’s character. Her spirit of determination and eternal hope are contagious and her finding a home in the midst of this collection is a pleasure to watch.
A Perfect Pairing may not stand out from the crowd, but its beautiful aura, attractive design, and captivating cinema are enough to complement a vibrant watch. If the goal of any romantic comedy is to fill that void, there is a sense of warmth and dimness, then A Perfect Pairing accomplishes that.
However, if one is a fan of love jokes with an equal amount of romance and a lot of laughter, one may want to skip this or be content with being a happy enough watch while waiting for something more appropriate to his or her preferences. “A Perfect Pairing.”
